yupp.
today.
churchie was the best ever..
you can say.
hahas.
my cell..slacked alot.
went to spc for 20 mins.
and we made poor jenny waited 20 mins for us in the lobby.
gideon called me and say my cell adeline waiting for us larh..
then go back we find adeline dun have..
then we found jenny.
yup.
silly gideon.
anyways.
was really nice.
went throught the leadership stuff.
so we're like being compared to an iceberg larh
skill is the 10% above the water.
character is the 90% below the water.
and..
the 90% is what suppots the 10%
so without your character..
your skill is nothing.
thats kinda the main point.

forget it.
i shall type the whole thing out.
cos i find it really.really.meaningful.
this is what it says...

THE ICEBERG.
the iceberg represents your leadership.
The 10% above the water is our skills
The 90% below the water is our character.
Its what below the surface that sank the ship....

THE SAD THING BOUT TITANIC.
Most of an iceberg is below the surface of the water
and really,
it's what's below the surface that sank the ship.

The titanic received 5 ice berg warnings that fateful night ust before it went down. When the 6th warning came in--"Look out for the icebregs"--the operator wired back," SHUTUP!i'm busy." These were his last words before it all happened. Exactly thirthy minutes later, the great vessel--the one whose captain said even GOD COULDN'T SINK--was nothing. Hundreds of passengers and crew drowned.

What was the problem? They forgot the truth about icebergs. What they say above the water seemed to pose no threat. However, it's what was below the surface that sank the Titanic.

Similarly, most people see your skills and your talents--that's the part above the surface. However, it's your character--what's below the surface--that will determine the type of influence you'll have on people around you.

GOING DEEPER...

It was a series of six relatively narrow slits, not a giant gash, that sank the Titanic. The damage was surprisingly small. In other word,s, small damage below the water line can sink a huge ship. In the same way, small compromises in our integrity can go unnoticed, but it will evantually sink leaders.

The bad news about icebergs is that it's what;s below the surface that sinks a sip. Weak character will evantually change your ability to lead.
The good news about icebergs is that it's what's below the surface that supports the tip of the iceberg. In the same way, strong character will hold you up long enough to use your skills.

OH.and heres a very very meaningful passage.

here it goes...

When i was young and free, my immagination had no limits, i dreamed of changing the world. As i grew older and wiser, i discovered the world would not change, so i shortened my sights and decided to change only my country. But it, too, seemed immovable. As i grew into my twillight years, in one last desperate attempt, i settled for chaning only my family, those closest to me, but alas, they would have none of it. And now as i lie on my deathbed, i suddenly realised: If i had only changed myself first, then by example i would have changed my family. From their inspiration and encouragment, i would then have been able to better my country and, who knows, i may have even changed my world.

yupp.
seriously.
i found it very meaningful.
we kinda concluded...
that the sinking of Titanic..
was actually caused by the ignorance of the captain.
however, the main reason might actually be because they doubted God
mentioned above, they said that even God could not sink the ship.
this might have angered God...
so thats why it happened.
another thing...
the iceberg is another example..
that we dont look at the person's skill only..
but the character...
because character holds us up long enough to use our skill...
so like..
the tip of the iceberg..
kinda teaches us not to focus on superficial things...but the main idea..
which is the inside.
like..
how can a bad tree ever produce good fruits..
how can a good tree produce bad fruits.
NEVER.
so like..
a bad character inside..
produces a bad and lousy skills evantually.
causing one to be inefficiant.
so ya.
