You know how the saying goes, "you never really know the value of something before you lose it." I guess its true. Extremly true. The unfortunate problem with human nature, is that though we know our past mistake, we somehow never seem to learn from it. You know you've lost something before, before you truly valued it, yet you never seem to value anything until you lose it. Why? I really don't know. We just somehow seem to take things for granted all the time, and maybe its just cause it's easier that way. You just somehow chose to believe that "oh, nah! That person won't leave me!/ That won't happen to me!, etc." I guess, we have to. For security reasons. We give ourselves false security by assuring ourselves that it'll never happen!
Take H1N1, "Nah! I'll never get it! And even if though, i probably wouldn't die, right?" And that's what i thought too when i went to Australia and came back being quarantined for a week.
And the reason why i'm bringing this up is cause i think i'm gonna lose something. In fact, i might have already lost it. But then again, i hope and hope that i haven't lost it, or rather, i choose to believe that i haven't lost it. It's just human's way of making yourself feel better. Sometimes, you don't really feel like accepting reality when it knocks on your door.
I wanna shut the reality door, lock it real tight, so that it'll never come banging on my door again. I wanna choose to live in the rosy alternative which i believe is reality. Then again, i don't have a choice. Neither do i have the power.
Angel, suck it up, live with it, and go face it. That's reality.
Promise that we'll continue bitching about everything we always do, promise that you'll bear with all my crankiness and my sudden mood swings, promise that you'll support all my spasm shopping trips, promise that you'll continue to love me despite all the promises i've wanted you to make. But reality hits again and then i realise that you can't promise me these. Right?
I'll trust in God.
He's my hope for the future, the reason for existence.
He never fails or disappoints.
He has plans to prosper me.
